'Closed' Support Group - First Meeting

‘Closed’ Grief Support Group Offered at Hospice of Guernsey

Grief is a normal reaction to a loss. But what might be normal for one might not be normal for another. Everyone deals with grief in their own way....which means there is no right way and no wrong way to grieve. While this is true, sometimes knowing you are not alone helps one through the grief journey.

You may have heard the expression, “time heals”. It is not the time that heals, but what you do with the time that helps you heal! Being a participant in the process is what brings healing.

Hospice of Guernsey is offering a unique ‘Closed’ Support Group to assist you in that process.

It is open to anyone ready to begin the healing process following a loss. It will consist of nine sessions, meeting every other week from 4 to 6pm on Wednesdays. Once we begin, no new members will be admitted; this allows for trust to develop amongst its members. The first meeting will be on October 19 at the Hospice Office located at 9711 East Pike Rd. in Cambridge.
